About us

History

Our profession originated in Paris at the end of the 19th century.
In the early beginnings, press monitoring was carried out exclusively at the request of a number of powerful clients from the world of culture and politics.

1919

Date of foundation, under the name of «Auxiliaire de la Presse». At that time it was the first comprehensive effort of press monitoring in Belgium.

1932

The company changed its articles of association and becomes a public limited liability company (s.a./société anonyme).

1973

The year in which Euro Argus (sister company but specializing in international monitoring and analyses) was first established.

In the seventies, AuxiPress multiplies its product range in order to respond in the best possible way to the customer's needs especially in the economic sector.

1978

Major participation of «Auxiliaire de la Presse» by Mr von Beust Senior. In the same year, his son, Joachim von Beust (son) becomes Managing Director of the company and changed the name from «Auxiliaire de la Presse» to «AuxiPress».

1993

Start of the Morning Info service.

1997

Takeover of CLIPCO (competitor). This allowed the company to extend its business activities into radio and television monitoring.

1998

Start of the quantitative and qualitative “Analysis” service and cooperation with Agence France Presse.

2001

Date of the foundation of Trust in Media, a subsidiary of AuxiPress in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
AuxïPress and Mediargus enter into a partnership: agreement signed with regard to copyrights and complementary cooperation engagement with Mediargus, the digital press databank for all Dutch speaking press articles. During the same period, the monitoring of Belga press releases is added to our services.

2002

Copyright agreements with French speaking editors Editco, Rossel, SAIPM and their Pressbanking platform.

2003

Début de la surveillance des publications online.

2004

AuxiPress becomes a supporting member of the IPF, the International Polar Foundation.

Move into our new address: 1945, chaussée de Wavre, 1160 - Brussels

2006

Digitalization of the whole production system of the company.

Intégration of social media.

2007

Launching of the electronic platform. The selected articles and the Radio/TV items are available on this platform for the customers.

2008

Growing success of our electronic platform.

Development of additional applications such as the accessibility of our services on the mobile supports (iPod, IPhone, Pocket PC etc.).

2009

New features available on our electronic platform.
